Vincent Kompany’s testimonial ended in a draw as the Manchester City Legends were held 2-2 against the Premier League Allstars.

The Belgian was unable to play due to a hamstring injury, with money raised for Tackle4MCR, a charity Kompany founded with Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham to help with homelessness in the city.

Martin Petrov gave City the lead before Robbie Keane equalised, with Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Ashley Cole also featuring for the Allstars.

Robin van Persie then put the Legends ahead, only for Benjani Mwaruwari to head the equaliser.

City have commissioned a sculpture of Kompany to be built outside the Etihad.

While a further tribute has seen the club name a road within the training ground Vincent Kompany Crescent.
