Your support makes all the difference.Kevin Keegan is trying to sign Germany's World Cup striker Miroslav Klose for £7m. The Manchester City manager is in talks with Klose, the second top-scorer at last summer's finals, and he could be in luck as Kaiserslautern are around £8m in debt.
The quick and aggressive 24-year-old, who scored five goals against Saudi Arabia on his World Cup finals debut, may be available at a reasonable price because Kaiserslautern have sold his transfer rights to a lottery firm, which is now actively seeking a buyer for Klose.
Keegan, who has a budget of around £8m for new signings, structure a deal to take Klose on staggered payments and thus pay more than the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Blackburn Rovers' 17-year-old defender James McEveley has turned down the chance to play for Scotland. The Liverpudlian, who made his Premiership debut last weekend, was instantly targeted because of his family's Scottish roots, but Graeme Souness, his club manager and a former Scotland captain, said: "I got a call from Berti Vogts and he asked if I would have a word with him. I've done that and unfortunately he wants to be English."
Souness also said he has his sights on the Independiente player Gabriel Milito, but thinks he will lose out to Bayern Munich after Leeds dropped out.
