Jurgen Klopp has told the Liverpool board he is confident of securing a top four finish this season, according to reports.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach is expected to arrive on Merseyside today, and be unveiled as the new Reds manager tomorrow.

Accoding to the Daily Mirror, the 48-year-old has been watching DVDs of the side, and believes only a couple of minor moves are needed in January to secure a top four finish this term.

Meanwhile. Joachim Low, Germany's World Cup-winning manager last summer, has hailed Klopp and the Reds as a good fit.

“I think there are strong parallels between Dortmund and Liverpool with the passion and size of their support,” said Low.

“I think it is a good fit.

“I’m not party to the negotiations between Liverpool and Mr Klopp, so I don’t know how they are progressing, but if an agreement can be reached it will be good for both.

“Mr Klopp, if you look back, was fantastically successful, exceptionally successful at Dortmund. He unleashed a lot of emotion in Dortmund supporters and he can do the same for Liverpool.”
