Falcao's shyness in front of goal has continued this season despite Mourinho hoping he would be able to draw the best from the Colombian.
After switching from Manchester United, Falcao has started just two Premier League games at Chelsea with a further six appearances coming from the bench. It's yielded just one goal so far for the forward.
The lack of goals continued last night with Falcao failing to find the back of the net after coming on as a substitute in Colombia's 3-0 defeat to Uruguay.
In the build-up to that game, Uruguay defender and former Atletico Madrid team-mate Godin said Falcao simply needed to be given a run in the Chelsea side.
"Falcao is looking for the confidence he had before his injury," Godin was quoted as saying by Gol Caracol.
"He is at a great team and he will get the run of games of needs and the goals will come."
During the international break, Colombia coach Jose Pekerman admitted Falcao's confidence was low but that the situation was reversible.
"We all know his capabilities, and I see he still has the will to fight, to reverse the situation, with that spirit of wanting to reach his best performance and we have expectations.
"We need that rebellion and that ability to want to fight, and if so we have hope he recovers his best form and we can take it into account. We always have the hope that he rediscovers his confidence. He always deserves to be called up."
Chelsea's next game is against Aston Villa on Saturday, a game Falcao is unlikely to start due to travel weariness accrued by the striker's involvement with the Colombia team.
