Joe Hart and summer signing Riyad Mahrez have been included in Manchester City’s squad for the club’s preseason tour of the United States this summer.

City are preparing for the new season by participating in the US section of the International Champions Cup and will play friendlies against Borussia Dortmund in Chicago on July 21, Liverpool in New York on July 26 and Bayern Munich in Miami on July 28.

Hart will be part of Pep Guardiola’s 28-man squad along with Claudio Bravo despite not being in the former Barcelona coach’s first-team plans, while City supporters will get their first chance to see Mahrez in action since he completed a £60 million transfer from Leicester City last week.

Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte are the only other high-profile names in a squad that consists largely of youngsters, with many of City’s other big names excused from the US trip as they recover from their World Cup exertions.

England Under-17 world champions Phil Foden is also in the squad, along with fellow promising academy graduates Tosin Adarabioyo and Lukas Nmecha, as well as Spanish prospects Brahim Diaz, Iker Pozo and Eric Garcia.

Patrick Roberts, Jason Denayer and Douglas Luiz, who spent last season on loan at Celtic, Galatasaray and Girona respectively, have been given a chance to impress Guardiola in the US, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is included despite speculation linking him with a summer move to newly-promoted Wolves.
