From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

This week on the Indy Football Podcast we ask whether this is the end of the Premier League’s Big Six as we know it.

Host Luke Brown is joined by Sports Editor Ben Burrows and columnist Tony Evans to debate whether or not there is going to be a shift of power in the Premier League this season.

They discuss Manchester United’s underwhelming start to the new season and ask whether or not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man to turn the club’s fortunes around.

They also talk Tottenham Hotspur, after two disastrous recent performances from Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Has the Spurs boss lost the dressing room? Was he right to criticise his “unsettled” squad? Or have his senior players let him down?

In the second half of the pod, the team move on to discuss which of the chasing pack is best positioned to catch one of the big boys. Will it be Leicester City? West Ham? Or maybe Everton?
