Hector Bellerin's representatives have strongly refuted claims, allegedly made by the player's agent, that the defender was subject to an offer from an unnamed club. The suggestion that the defender's future at Arsenal 'cannot be guaranteed' has also been denied.

Agent Albert Botines, quoted via Goal, reportedly revealed that Arsenal had received an offer for Bellerin after the 22-year-old signed a new contract at the club.

This has been denied, though, and the quote from the original article has since been deleted.

Botines was also alleged to have said that he "can't guarantee anything about the [player's] future". This, too, has been denied.

In response to the report from Goal, the player's representatives stated: "No comment has been made by anyone here at Bellerin's management team. This is a completely false claim."

The right-back has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Emirates in the summer, with both Manchester City and Barcelona touted as potential suitors.

Indeed, speculation of a summer transfer has mounted in recent weeks after the player was dropped to the bench under manager Arsene Wenger.

Bellerin and his team-mates travel to Southampton on Wednesday night in search of a second successive win in the league as they continue to chase a top-four finish.
