Fulham will be hoping to move on from the recent sacking of manager Martin Jol with a win against London rival Tottenham.

Having lost 5 games in a row, Fulham chose to appoint Rene Meulensteen as manager on Sunday, and will aim to start the new era with a win against their North London opponents. Fulham haven’t won a point in the Premier League since mid-October and will face a side that also have their own management questions. Tottenham, who have been notoriously inconsistent over the past month, sit 9th in the table and a win on Wednesday should help stave off critics of manager Andres Villas-Boas. The former Chelsea manager believes that recent criticism towards him is “aggressive and agenda driven” and it didn’t reflect his club’s position in the league. Facing increasing pressure to secure a first Premier League win since October; Tottenham will be looking to spoil Meulensteen’s first game in charge.
