Fantasy football scout tips gameweek 15: Harry Kane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and more

Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Harry Kane
It is has been a strange fantasy season for Harry Kane so far, with many managers steering clear of the Tottenham Hotspur striker, fearing that his form does not justify his price tag.
Kane has shown more signs of life in recent weeks, however, and could punish those still reluctant to invest in his talents, starting on Wednesday night.
Managerless Southampton visit Wembley this week, kicking off a run of favourable games. Kane scored a hat-trick in the corresponding fixture last season
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Premier League top scorer and Tottenham’s nemesis from Sunday’s north London derby, is another option in the premium forward bracket.
Aubameyang’s gameweek 15 fixture is not as enticing as Kane’s but the Gabon international will still be confident of returns away to a misfiring Manchester United.
A date at the Emirates with Huddersfield Town follows on Saturday, while Burnley and Fulham will also visit north London over Christmas.
Felipe Anderson
Having delivered a goal in Saturday’s commanding win at Newcastle United, Felipe Anderson deservedly retains his place in our tips.
Anderson now has four goals in his last four outings and a glance at West Ham United’s Christmas schedule shows why he is gaining in popularity.
Cardiff City visit the London Stadium tonight, Crystal Palace then follow at the weekend and meetings with Fulham, Southampton and Burnley are all to come.
Shane Duffy
The M23 derby sees Crystal Palace - who still have just 10 goals to their name this season - travel to Brighton and Hove Albion, one of the better home defences.
A Brighton defender, therefore, appears to be a sound investment and Shane Duffy always carries set-piece threat.
Duffy scored in Saturday’s comeback win at Huddersfield and could combine a goal with a clean sheet this time around.
David Brooks
Though dropped to the substitutes’ bench for Saturday’s defeat at Manchester City, Bournemouth’s David Brooks has been catching the eye in recent weeks.
Brooks will likely return to the starting line-up if Bournemouth switch back to their usual 4-4-1-1 formation for Huddersfield’s visit on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old is still a budget option at just £5.2m and something of a differential, selected in only 3.3 per cent of squads.
Honourable mentions: Lukas Fabianski, Lucas Digne, Leroy Sané, Heung Min-Son, Callum Wilson.
