Jose Mourinho stormed out of his pre-match interview ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Everton after he took exception to a question regarding summer transfer target John Stones.

Chelsea saw three bids for Stones – the most expensive of which was £38m – rejected by the Toffees despite the England international handing in a transfer request.

Despite Mourinho’s liking of the 21-year-old defender, he was clearly in no mood to talk of the player ahead of the match given he was playing for the opposition.

When BT Sport presenter Ray Stubbs questioned the Mourinho over Stones, he have a one-sentence respond before walking off.

“Everton fans will remind you today that you couldn't sign John Stones, do you think that adds an extra dimension?” asked Stubbs.

Mourinho answered: “Before the game, this is too long. This is too long, I'm sorry.”
