Everton host Brighton at Goodison Park on Saturday, with Chris Hughton’s side currently enjoying a seven-match unbeaten run and fresh off the back of a 2-1 victory over Arsenal last weekend.

Brighton under Hughton have been an impressive proposition in the 2017/18 campaign, and after bringing in some fresh faces into the squad during the January window, they now sit 10th on 34 points. Three points against Sam Allardyce’s Everton on Saturday could potentially lift the Seagulls as high as ninth and just one win away from the widely regarded safety net of 40 Premier League points.

After a promising start to his managerial tenure at Everton, the Toffees under Allardyce have been on a worrying run of form, that has seen them record just two wins in their last 11 Premier League games, though they are seemingly safe from relegation for the current campaign.

Brighton striker Glenn Murray has been in fine form for Hughton’s side, scoring 11 league goals, with the veteran forward even being touted by some as worthy of a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Russia 2018. The trip to Goodison Park provides yet another opportunity for Murray to add to his impressive goal tally, currently only behind Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Jamie Vardy in the Golden Boot race from the English cohort.

What time does it start?

Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion kicks off at 15.00pm on Saturday 10 at Goodison Park.

Where can I watch it?

The game isn’t being televised in the UK. Highlights will be shown at 22.30pm on BBC1.

It’s a big game for…

Glenn Murray. Brighton’s main man has seven Premier League goals so far in 2018; only Mohamed Salah (8) and Sergio Aguero (9) have more. If Brighton are to get anything from the game on Saturday, Murray will likely be involved, hoping to further enhance his unlikely charge for a spot on the plane to Russia.

After picking up 10 points from a possible 12 in Sam Allardyce's first four games in charge (W3, D1), the Toffees have earned just nine from the last 33 available (W2, D3, L6).

Player to watch…

Anthony Knockaert. Brighton’s playmaker recorded his first Premier League goal in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and has been in fine form lately, playing a key part in Brighton’s rise up to 10th place in the Premier League. Saturday’s game at Everton could be yet another chance for Knockaert to display his talent against a fragile Everton defence, and Hughton will be hoping he can make an impact at Goodison.
