Nacho Monreal will start at left-back in place of the injured Kieran Gibbs, while there are places for Mathieu Flamini, in place for captain Mikel Arteta, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in midfield.
Laurent Koscielny is on the bench as is Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla, who struggled against Palace last week.
For the home side Roberto Martinez makes two changes with Seamus Coleman replacing John Stones and Kevin Mirallas in for goalscorer Aiden McGeady.
Martinez switches from a 3-5-2 to a 4-2-3-1 for this match.
