Everton will have to cope without Leighton Baines for the upcoming away encounters against Manchester United and Arsenal after it was revealed the left-back has suffered a fractured toe.

The injury, which was incurred during the 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Saturday, is expected to keep the England international out for four weeks.

Baines was forced off in the 50th minute at Goodison Park, and will undergo tests today to discover the full extent of the problem.

However, the early indications are that he will be out for around a month, which will mean he misses the Premier League games against Stoke City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Fulham and Swansea.

If Baines returns in four weeks, he could be available for the Boxing Day fixture against Sunderland at Goodison Park.
