Duberry set to return after Ferdinand injury
Michael Duberry is set to start his first game for Leeds United in over a year after central defender Rio Ferdinand was ruled out of tonight's Uefa Cup second leg against Troyes with a hamstring strain.
Duberry, who has just given evidence in the retrial of his team-mates Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate, has not begun a first-team game since sustaining a ruptured Achilles tendon in September 2000.
With Leeds defending a 4-2 lead from the first leg at Elland Road, their manager David O'Leary will have to make further changes because of Bowyer's continued involvement in the case before Hull Crown Court and Eirik Bakke's knee injury. His new £7m signing Seth Johnson is likely to make his debut in midfield, while O'Leary could also call on the experience of the Irish full-back Gary Kelly.
Troyes might be having an indifferent season in the league but in the former France striker Patrice Loko they have just the sort of player to punish any complacency from Leeds.
