The Toon striker has let it be known that he is not intending a move away from St. James’ Park this summer.
The Senegalese goal-scoring machine was on fantastic form last season and helped Newcastle United earn fifth spot and a place in the Europa League for the Magpies.
This form led to speculation that has seen Manchester United, Liverpool and Galatasary reportedly make inquiries about the frontman who scored 16 goals in the Premier League last season despite being away for the best part of a month at the African Cup of Nations.
But the striker has tried to play down any conjecture about a move away any time soon by tweeting on his official account: "So much stuff about me lately. Rumours are rumours! Just forget about it."
Ba has returned for pre-season training in Newcastle, but despite his statement today, speculation is expected to continue throughout the summer.
Ba has a release clause in his contract which would cost £7m to activate. That would represent something of a bargain for the 27-year-old.
Newcastle managed to bring Ba to Tyneside on a free transfer last summer after he left relegated West Ham.
