Your support makes all the difference.Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose signed a new five-year contract with the club today, and soon his name began trending on Twitter, but not for reasons he would have liked - the news went down as well with the White Hart Lane faithful as a Jack Wilshere celebratory FA Cup song.
The 24-year-old moved to Spurs from Leeds in July 2007, and despite lashing in a thunderous volley against rivals Arsenal on his league debut, his time so far with Spurs has been remembered more for its faults, including the one to allow Tomas Rosicky to score in the Gunners' 2-0 FA Cup win back in January.
His future at Spurs looked like it was seriously in question when the club signed 21-year-old left-back Ben Davies from Swansea last week, making today's announcement all the more surprising.
It all started at 3.30pm today, when Spurs unveiled their triumphant news on Twitter. The responses were far from positive - from "Let the meltdown begin" to "Please tell me you are joking".
