Your support makes all the difference.It was set to be a busy day for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton, despite missing the afternoon’s Premier League encounter against Chelsea through injury.
An early morning run out for the Under-21s would help Barton continue his recovery from the hamstring injury that has kept him out in recent weeks, and Barton tweeted that he felt good to be back following an intense first full training session.
We posted on his Twitter account: “Just finished 1st session back with u21's. Good intensity and great to be back. Watch 2nd half of our 18's now then off to Stamford Bridge."
But after feeling the pain that many a fan will have experienced at some point of their lifetime, Barton quickly turned to plan B, and made his way north for Brentford vs Derby in the Championship instead.
“Been a change of plan. Heading now to Brentford v Derby. Couldn't get a ticket for Chelsea v QPR? #nojoke”
It seems Barton’s best chance of seeing his own team in action will have to be when he returns from injury and actually plays. We feel your pain, Joey.
