From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Frank Lampard has inspired a promising start at Chelsea as manager, instilling a new, energetic style of football and utilising a large squad to somewhat overcome not having the luxury of signing players due to the transfer ban.

Mason Mount has left his mark, while Tammy Abraham is in contention as well to start against Manchester United next week.

Ross Barkley looks to have responded well to one of his inspirations as a goalscoring midfielder, though the absence of Eden Hazard will clearly be felt.

Christian Pulisic looks ready to sprinkle some magic in his debut Premier League season.

Here’s how you can follow the Blues’ final pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach live and online.

The match is on Saturday August 3 and kicks off at 4pm BST.

The match is available on Chelsea TV, which can be found on channel 419 on Sky, but not live, due to UK broadcasting laws with the return of the football league.

The delayed game can be viewed on The 5th Stand app too.

Delayed full-match video coverage is available to UK and Ireland viewers from 6pm on the official website and app as well.

Team news

N’Golo Kante is in the squad for the trip to Germany after recovering from injury which forced a premature return from Japan two weeks ago.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Rudiger remain out, while Reece James, too, while closer to a recovery, is out with an ankle problem. Willian is still to take part in pre-season after his involvement at the Copa America with Brazil and a knee injury that forced him out of the tournament.

Andreas Christensen will return to face his former side after a successful two-year spell on loan.

Prediction

There are goals in this team, despite the hole left by Hazard, but that has come at a cost.

The defence looks confused and disorganised, so look for Gladbach to expose that a little bit more and provide Lampard with plenty to consider and work on in the final week before United.

A score draw, perhaps 2-2, looks on the cards.

Possible line-ups

Gladbach XI: Sommer, Lainer, Ginter, Elvedi, Wendt, Neuhaus, Strobl, Cuisance, Benes, Plea, Bennetts

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Luiz, Emerson, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Barkley, Pulisic, Abraham
