The Portuguese coach received the suspension alongside a £40,000 fine earlier this week after admitting to a Football Association charge of misconduct.
The punishment relates to his behaviour during a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United at the end of last month.
During that game, Mourinho had an altercation with referee Jonathan Moss following the dismissal of Nemanja Matic and was sent to watch the game from the stands at half-time.
Despite admitting to the charge, the Chelsea boss could have contested the punishment if he had felt it was too harsh. However, he has decided against an appeal.

When asked whether he would watch the game, Mourinho said: "I have no plans (to watch). Maybe I sit in the street corner with my iPad. Maybe I don't even watch the game."
He also ruled out any attempt to sneak into the ground, as he is rumoured to have done during his first spell at Chelsea when banned for a Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
"No temptation," he said at Friday's pre-match press conference. "I know the situation where I am in relation to the football power in this country and I have to adapt."
Following his decision not to appeal, he will be barred from entering the Britannia Stadium before, during and after Saturday’s game and cannot communicate with staff at any point.
Mourinho is yet to serve a separate suspended one-match stadium ban which he received, alongside a £50,000 fine, for his comments after his side’s 3-1 home defeat to Southampton.
On that occasion, Mourinho implied bias on the part of match referee Robert Madley. He admitted the charge but contested the severity of the FA’s punishment.
On Thursday, the governing body announced that the former Real Madrid manager had failed in his attempt to appeal against that ban.
