Your support makes all the difference.Chelsea captain John Terry has been ruled out for ten days after straining ligaments in his foot, according to his club.
The 35-year old was left lying on the ground clutching his foot at the final whistle of Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Swansea and was later seen leaving the Liberty Stadium on crutches.
Terry took to Instagram to post a photo of the treatment he was having but after having a scan on Monday it has been confirmed that he will miss the game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Friday.
After the draw on Saturday, Blues boss Antonio Conte said: “I don’t know the extent of the injury but tomorrow we will see the situation about his ankle. But he is a warrior. I am not worried.”
As well as the game against Liverpool and the EFL third round game against Leicester, Terry could also miss the trip to the Emirates to face fellow title contenders Arsenal.
It does, however, present an opportunity for David Luiz to make his Chelsea return after his £32m deadline-day move back to west London from Paris Saint-Germain.
