The Bolton wanderers defender Gary Cahill has appealed to the Football Association against the red card he received in Saturday's Premier League match against Arsenal.
Cahill was dismissed for his foul from behind on Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh after 64 minutes of the match and Arsenal, who led 2-1 at the time, went on to win the match 4-1. The appeal will be held by a regulatory commission today, the FA announced. Bolton's manager Owen Coyle voiced his disappointed with referee Stuart Attwell's decision after the match. "It was a mistimed challenge by Cahill, nothing more than that," he said.
