Arsenal face Burnley on the final day of the Premier League season after securing their place in the Europa League final in Azerbaijan in midweek.

The Gunners’ domestic season will, barring a miracle, end in disappointing fashion with a finish outside of the top four all but confirmed after last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Brighton.

However, their hopes of Champions League football next season are still afloat after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s hat-trick inspired Arsenal to qualify for the final in Baku at Valencia’s expense.

Unai Emery will therefore need to keep his key men fit for the trip to Azerbaijan to take on Chelsea but will undoubtedly face difficulties in taking anything from Turf Moor after the Gunners’ horrendous results on the road this season.

Burnley have gone on a run of three games without a win themselves but managed to push Manchester City to the limit on their last outing on home turf.

Prediction… Burnley 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal may view this game as a dress rehearsal in preparation for the Europa League final, but given that the showdown with Chelsea in Baku takes place 17 days after the final day of the Premier League season, Unai Emery may be tempted to rest his key men rather than risk injury.

Burnley have been indifferent at home this season but having been edged by last-gasp winners by the Gunners in recent seasons, the Clarets will see this as a perfect opportunity to exact some revenge.
