Arsenal return to domestic matters having secured their place in the Europa League final in midweek when they travel to Burnley on the final day of the Premier League season.

The Gunners will, barring a miracle, finish another disappointing league campaign outside of the top four after a drop off in form in the last month which has seen them go on a four-game winless league run.

However, their hopes of Champions League football next season are still alive after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s hat-trick at Mestalla helped them advance into the final in Baku at Valencia’s expense.

Unai Emery will consequently look to keep his main stars fresh for the trip to Azerbaijan to take on Chelsea on May 29 but will regardless face a fight to take something away from Turf Moor after the Gunners’ horrendous results on the road this season.

Burnley have gone on a run of three games without a win themselves but managed to push Manchester City to the limit on their last outing on home turf.

Predicted line-ups

Burnley: Heaton; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Westwood, Cork, Brady; Barnes, Wood

Arsenal: Leno; Mustafi, Sokratis, Mavropanos; Lichtsteiner, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Monreal; Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Iwobi

Prediction… Burnley 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal may view this game as a dress rehearsal in preparation for the Europa League final, but given that the showdown with Chelsea in Baku takes place 17 days after the final day of the Premier League season, Unai Emery may be tempted to rest his key men rather than risk injury.

Burnley have been indifferent at home this season but having been edged by last-gasp winners by the Gunners in recent seasons, the Clarets will see this as a perfect opportunity to exact some revenge.
