Your support makes all the difference.The Bolton Wanderers manager, Sam Allardyce, suffered a blow in his attempts to sign the Monaco striker Dado Prso yesterday. The Turkish club Besiktas has joined the chase, attempting to entice the Croatian to Istanbul.
Allardyce met the Croatian player the day after he scored against Chelsea in the Champions' League and is hoping to sign him on a two-year deal. But Besiktas have upped the stakes by putting a £1.7m-a-year contract on the table, plus the chance of playing in the Champions' League.Now Allardyce will have to hope Prso opts for the secure cash at Bolton, who would pay him around £25,000-a-week.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian Rivaldo will start a two-day medical at Bolton today before completing his astonishing move to the Reebok Stadium.
Rivaldo has already told Bolton he will accept their two-year deal and now the final formalities have to be completed.
The former Barcelona and Milan striker Rivaldo, 32, is a free agent after leaving Brazil's Cruzeiro at the end of February.
