Tottenham winger David Bentley is set for a January transfer after a blazing row with manager Harry Redknapp.

The 25-year-old has failed to live up to expectations since joining Tottenham in a £15m move from Blackburn in July 2008.

Rumour has been rife that he will be moved on in January and today the Daily Express reported that the sometimes England international had words with Redknapp during a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday - which is only likely to hasten his exit.

It's claimed that Redknapp was furious with Bentley's on-field antics during the match against Grays Athletic when it appeared the winger wasn't taking the match seriously.

Reports have linked Bentley with a reunion with former manager Mark Hughes at Manchester City.
