Your support makes all the difference.Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has denied making a bid for unsettled Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.
The Argentina captain was the subject of several unsuccessful bids from the Spanish champions 12 months ago and has asked to leave Anfield this summer with Internazionale leading the race to sign him.
Barca recently failed to land another midfield target in Arsenal and Spain international Cesc Fabregas which has led to reports of fresh interest in Mascherano.
"There is still nothing with Mascherano, in fact he is a player who does not fit into our season plan," claimed Zubizarreta
"He is a great player but there is nothing."
Elsewhere, Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho insists the doors at the Santiago Bernabeu are still very much open to entries and exits before the start of the new season.
World Cup stars Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira of Argentina and Germany respectively have already signed for the Spanish giants since Mourinho took over, while Real continue to be linked with a move for Werder Bremen starlet Mezut Ozil.
"No coach would say no to a new signing, but this is an issue that is in the hands of the club," explained Mourinho.
"The door is open for the entry and exit of players."
