Arsenal are reportedly targeting members of Leicester City’s player recruitment set-up as they plan to overhaul their own scouting system.

The Foxes’ scout Ben Wrigglesworth has been earmarked for a role and, according to the Daily Mail, he could be joined by his colleague Steve Walsh.

Both worked as part of the recruitment system which brought Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante and Wes Morgan to the King Power Stadium, who have all impressed during Leicester’s remarkable rise to the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal’s current head scout Steve Rowley is expected to remain in place and oversee the changes to the clubs scouting network.

The Gunners wrapped up their first signing of the January transfer window on Thursday, when the long-awaited capture of Mohamend Elneny was confirmed.

The 23-year-old was signed from Switzerland-based Basel, and the club is keen to continue exploring the central European market, having recently strengthened their staff in Germany.

Arsenal travel to face their bogey-side, Stoke City, at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday, as they look to maintain their title challenge.
