The French defender left the Gunners for Manchester City this summer after seven years in north London.
Having departed after letting his contract run down, Sagna is in line to return to the Emirates with his new team when the Premier League resumes after the international break.
However, the Frenchman could be in for a rough ride from the home fans after his latest comments.
"This was the right time for me to leave Arsenal. I wanted to see somewhere new and boost my career," Sagna said.
"I am now part of a much deeper squad at City, where it’s even harder for me to win a first-team place. But I feel more powerful than ever."
Arsenal host Manchester City in the 12.45 kick off on Saturday 13 September.
