From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. The goalkeeper, who has not missed a Premier League game this season, was forced off in the second half of Arsenal’s thumping victory on Sunday after landing awkwardly. Cech was assessed on Monday but is unlikely to be available to face Tottenham at Wembley.
Back-up goalkeeper David Ospina is expected to step in for the Czech, having made his appearances exclusively in the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup this season.
This will be Ospina’s first Premier League start since the 2-2 draw with Manchester City in April last year.
Since joining in the summer of 2014, the 29-year-old has made 23 league appearances.
Arsenal are also expecting Nacho Monreal to return to the defence against Tottenham on Saturday following illness. Depending on what system Arsene Wenger chooses, the Spaniard could be deployed at full-back or as a third centre-back.
