Theo Walcott has earned himself a new coffee machine after scoring his tenth goal of the season so far for Arsenal.

The 27-year-old revealed last month that he had been promised the gift by his wife, Melanie, so long as his personal goal tally reached double figures this term.

After the 3-1 Premier League victory over Bournemouth, in which Walcott scored his ninth of the campaign, he said: “I want to get 10 so I can get a coffee machine for Christmas from my wife,’ Walcott revealed after his latest strike.

“She said “If you get 10 goals before Christmas I’ll buy you this coffee machine”. So I can’t wait for that and hopefully it will happen.”

Walcott reached his personal target after scoring his side’s first in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Stoke City, turning Hector Bellerin’s cross past Lee Grant.

The former Southampton winger’s strike was also his 100th career goal and saw him maintain an impressive start to the season.

Arsenal moved top of the Premier League table after the win over Mark Hughes’ Potters, though they will be knocked off the summit if Chelsea avoid defeat at home to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
