Arsenal have unveiled their new Puma kit for the 2014/15 season at the company's flagship store on Carnaby Street, modelled by players Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini.

It is the first launch since the club ended their 20-year partnership with American brand Nike to sign a record-breaking deal with Puma.

The German sportswear giant agreed a whopping five-year, £150m deal to provide kits for Arsenal. It is the biggest kit deal in Britain, eclipsing the £25.4m-per-year deal Nike currently have with Manchester United, and beaten only by Real Madrid’s deal with adidas.

After the launch, attention moved to a spectacular event on the banks of the River Thames with the London Eye as a backdrop. A hologram of manager Arsene Wenger introducing the home, away and third choice strips was followed by more holograms of Gunners players showing off their skills in the new designs.

Former supplier Nike were dealt another blow earlier this week when they decided to end their 13-year association with United.

In a statement they said: "the terms that were on offer for a renewed contract did not represent good value for Nike's shareholders".

Adidas and Warrior are expected to fight it out for control of one of the world’s biggest clubs in 2015.
