Your support makes all the difference.Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Francis Coquelin will miss the trip to Leicester City this weekend because a knee injury.
The French midfielder missed the Gunners' 2-1 League Cup win at Tottenham in the week and has not recovered. Wenger says he expects him to still be sidelined for the Champions League game against Olympiakos on Tuesday.
Defender Gabriel could yet be banned for the game because of his clash with Diego Costa last weekend. His three game ban and red card have been revoked, however the club will find out today whether he has been given a ban for improper conduct by the FA.
"[Coquelin] is progressing well, but he will not be available for Leicester," Wenger told arsenal.com today. "He has a scan today but the evolution is quite positive. He might start practice tomorrow. He has a little chance for Tuesday, and a bigger chance for Man United [next Sunday]. It is very difficult to be definite today."
On long-term absentees Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky, Wenger said:
"They are all doing well. Jack just had surgery so at the moment he cannot do anything. Danny is doing well, Tomas Rosicky as well."
"[Wilshere's] was very successful and touch wood hopefully all goes well now."
Wilshere is still expected to be out until the end of this year.
