Reported Arsenal and Liverpool transfer target Alexandre Pato, the former AC Milan striker, is being courted by ‘at least two or three’ suitors in Italy, according to his agent.

The 26-year-old’s career has been resurrected by a switch back to his native Brazil to Corinthians before a recent temporary spell with São Paulo allowed him to recapture the form which made him one of the game’s hottest properties.

Pato is expected to return to Europe once his loan deal with the Tricolor expires in the new year and has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent months, including Tottenham Hotspur.

Agent Riccardo Napolitano, however, told Calciomercato on Friday morning, that Italy remains the most likely destination for the former Brazil international.

"Alexandre is back and determined to establish himself as one of the best strikers in the world," he said.

"We're evaluating several options for him, he's a striker admired by many, and he's completely overcome the muscular problems he suffered in the past few years.

"In Italy there are at least two or three teams among the possible destinations, but of course we can't say any more. The only thing that is certain is that Pato will be the undoubted star of the winter transfer market."
