Your chance to play a part in our football coverage
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Would you like to be part of The Independent's football coverage? To have the chance to air your views, both about the team you support and on the major (and not so major) footballing issues of the day?
If so you should become part of The Independent Fans' Forum.
Fifteen years ago, The Independent was the first national newspaper to actively involve fans in its football coverage when it launched its ground-breaking Fans' Eye View column. From this season we will be going much further, by making the views of Independent-reading football fans a major part of our coverage.
Every Monday's Premier League games will include comments from fans; during the week there will be an online debate involving Independent readers and on Saturday the Fans' Eye view column will return.
There will also be an opportunity for Independent readers to play a part in shaping our football coverage – from suggesting topics and issues that concern you to becoming involved in major interviews that appear in our pages.
If you would like to be part of this exciting new venture email us at sport@independent.co.uk, marking your email "Independent Fans' Forum" and stating which team you support and how often you go and watch them. We look forward to hearing from you.
