Saturday's victory over Charlton extended their unbeaten sequence in the league to five, and brought to a halt the visitors' run of eight games without defeat.
Perhaps the key to Wolves' revival has been winger Michael Kightly who caused Charlton problems all afternoon. His team-mate Karl Henry – who scored the second goal after creating the first for the former Charlton forward Jay Bothroyd – revealed that the 21-year-old Kightly needed to adapt his game after joining Wolves from non-league Grays Athletic almost a year ago.
Henry said: "Michael wasn't as effective as he had been last year. He has had to up his game to free himself from defenders who are man-marking him. He has been tremendous in our last five matches."
Charlton were dominant in the first half, but a wonderful save by Wayne Hennessey from Chris Iwelumo's header prevented them from taking the lead.
Only 25 seconds into the second half Bothroyd put Wolves in front with a near-post finish from Henry's cross. Henry added the second five minutes from time after taking advantage of a lucky bounce.
