Research suggests that Spain will have the most valuable starting XI at this summer's World Cup.

Argentina come in at second place, although half of their value is down to one player. Meanwhile World Cup holders Italy are languishing in tenth place.

The findings were published by Frontier Economics who carried out analysis on the economic value of the players featuring in South Africa. The study concentrated on the ten national teams, who according to the latest betting odds, are most likely to lift the golden trophy.

The final figure for each team represents the expected starting line-ups.
