Your support makes all the difference. An eagle-eyed steward came to the rescue of a match official in Mexico at the weekend.
During a top-flight league match between Santos and Puebla, one supporter was so furious with the referee that he took it upon himself to enter the field of play to confront him.
However the supporter was thwarted when a steward showed incredible foresight to see the situation developing. With the crazed fan heading towards the official, the steward showed a turn of pace that would have impressed the players competing in the match which enabled him to intervene just in time.
The top flight match ended 2-2.
