From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Despite his current contract impasse at Liverpool, Raheem Sterling has spoken of his "ambition" to have his own chant sung by the vociferous Kop.

Sterling has faced the wrath of the Liverpool supporters in recent weeks after rejecting a new £100,000 contract with the club, and then going on a unsanctioned interview on the BBC where he justified his stance on not agreeing to a new deal.

He was heckled on Friday when unveiling Liverpool's new home shirt at Anfield because of the contract wrangling.

But over the weekend a new interview with him was published in which he said that he'd love a personalised song from the fans.

To make life easier for Liverpool supporters, here are a list of new of new chants for the 20-year-old after some of his exploits this season:

Because of his mid-season break in Jamaica...

Holiday celebrate,

Holiday celebrate

(To tune of Holiday by Madonna)

After pictures emerged of him appearing to smoke a shisha pipe at the weekend...

He smokes when he wants

After his far too accurate Dobby from Harry Potter impression (worth a google)...

Are you Dobby in disguise?

Because of his current contract impasse...

Worth more than £100K! Worth more than £100k!

Because he missed England matches this season because of tiredness...

He sleeps when he wants
