Your support makes all the difference.Premier League clubs will meet next week for discussions on imposing spending controls, including restricting the amount clubs spend on players' wages.
The clubs have been split into two groups – the 10 southern-most clubs meet on Monday, the rest on Wednesday – to discuss a number of issues. A majority are in favour of trying to find ways to control spending despite being set to receive significant rises in income when the new £3bn domestic TV deal begins next season.
Among the suggestions are clubs being allowed to spend a maximum percentage of their annual income on player costs, and adopting a version of Uefa's financial fairplay league.
