Liverpool vs Borussia Dortmund: Over 1,000 Dortmund fans join Reds faithful for spine-tingling version of You'll Never Walk Alone

You would never be surprised to hear a rendition of ‘You Never Walk Alone’ reverberate around Anfield, yet it was a shock to hear over 1,000 Germans join the Liverpool faithful for a truly spine-tingling moment.

Borussia Dortmund were on Merseyside for a pre-season friendly where the Reds ran out emphatic 4-0 winners courtesy of goals from Daniel Sturridge, Dejan Lovren, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.

Both clubs are well known for having passionate supporters, but it was their coming together to sing the Anfield anthem that really proved the most inspiring moment of the afternoon, and thankfully Dortmund’s Instagram account managed to capture the collaboration.

Dortmund do have a weeks’ extra preparation before they begin their Bundesliga campaign against Bayer Leverkusen on 23 August, where they will hope to close the gap to last season’s runaway victors Bayern Munich.

They face the Bavarian club this Wednesday in the German Supercup, where they will be looking to retain the crown they won last season after beating Pep Guardiola’s side 4-2.
