Chelsea captain John Terry has received a lot of criticism for his performances this season.
With the Blues down in 15th place in the Premier League after 11 matches, it appears that their title defence is already over, while Terry himself has been dropped and publicly blamed for poor performances.
But speaking ahead of a crucial Champions League match with Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday night, Terry hit back - stating that he would take criticism from those had been as good as him in his career, but not from others.
Former Wales international Robbie Savage, who won one League Cup in his career, was in the firing line.
"When certain other people speak, maybe not, maybe I don’t like listening and taking it on the chin. When players have not had a career, have played at a really bad level throughout their career and come for people who have achieved what I have achieved in the game.
"Robbie Savage being one."
Twitter reacted with obvious glee (in the form of hearts rather than stars):
We await Robbie Savage's response...
