Your support makes all the difference.Leicester City's manager, Ian Holloway, will meet with the club's owner, Milan Mandaric, on Monday to resolve his future at the club. Holloway became Leicester's third manager this season when taking over in November but failed to stop the club being relegated to League One.
Reports have suggested that Mandaric will sack Holloway during the summer and the former Plymouth Argyle manager is hoping his future can be resolved soon.
"Milan has been in America with his family but I'm going to see him on Monday," Holloway said. "The papers have been speculating about my future, but there's bigger things at stake than Ian Holloway. It's not about my future, it's about Leicester City."
Bernie Ecclestone has denied reports linking Zinedine Zidane with the vacant manager's role at Queen's Park Rangers. The French World Cup winner was linked with a move to Loftus Road last weekend and the speculation has resurfaced following Luigi de Canio's departure on Thursday.
However, co-owner Ecclestone, who is bankrolling Rangers' push for promotion to the Premier League next season, has scotched rumours Zidane is on his way, despite admitting that he has known for six months that De Canio would be leaving. He said: "I can say 100 per cent categorically 'no' to stories that we have spoken to Zidane. We have known for six months that the coach would be leaving and we have to draw up the shortlist, but Zidane's name is not on it."
Burnley have parted company with Jon Harley after failing to agree terms on a new deal with the former Chelsea defender. Harley was one of five players offered a new contract by manager Owen Coyle at the end of the season. The 28-year-old left-back, who joined Burnley from Sheffield United in August 2005, made 126 appearances for the Championship side, scoring three times.
The Northampton midfielder Ryan Gilligan has agreed terms on a new two-year contract. Gilligan's current deal was due to expire this summer but after accepting an offer from the club he will now remain at Sixfields until at least 2010.
