Your support makes all the difference.The G14 group of Europe's most powerful clubs want a "fair percentage" of receipts from tournaments such as the World Cup to compensate clubs for releasing players to compete in such tournaments.
The group, which comprises 18 clubs in five countries, made the claim in a statement referring to a court case in Belgium where Charleroi are suing the world governing body Fifa after Abdelmajid Oulmers returned injured from national duty with Morocco.
The statement read: "G14's objective in bringing this case is to avoid professional clubs being forced to incur damages when they release their players for national team duty. G14 want a situation in which a fair percentage of the revenues of tournaments, notably the World Cup, are redistributed among those clubs who release their players."
