Your support makes all the difference.The Fulham captain, Danny Murphy, has said that his side will not take anything for granted when they look to finish off NSI Runavik in the Faroe Islands on Thursday night and stay on course for the Europa League.
New manager Martin Jol enjoyed a winning start with last week's 3-0 victory in their first qualifying round first-leg tie at Craven Cottage. However, Murphy, who scored a penalty, maintained that the squad cannot think the job is already done.
"It is a difficult one at 3-0. If it was five it would probably be easier. I would expect one or two of the young lads to play," said Murphy. "You need the spine of the team. When you play away it could be a dodgy pitch and it only takes one mistake and you can be a goal down after 10 minutes."
Spurs plan ahead with Under-21s
The England Under-21 internationals Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have signed contract extensions with Tottenham until 2015 and 2016 respectively, the club have confirmed.
Rose, 21, featured at left-back for Spurs in the final four games of last season and impressed out on loan at Bristol City. Walker, also 21, performed well during loan spells with QPR and Aston Villa last term.
Ibrox pair commit to long-term deals
Allan McGregor and Steven Whittaker both hope to finish their careers at Rangers after signing long-term contracts for the Ibrox club.
McGregor, 29, confirmed yesterday he had penned a new six-year deal. "I have been here all my life so there was no hiding the fact that I wanted to stay," he said.
Whittaker, 27, recently the subject of several rejected bids from Turkish club Bursaspor, signed on for another five years.
Al-Habsi makes move permanent
Wigan have completed the signing of goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi from Bolton on a four-year contract. The Oman international spent last season on loan at the DW Stadium and was keen to return but the clubs could not agree a fee. Wigan are believed to have met the £4m valuation.
