The club welcome back Matthew Upson, who is over a calf injury, in time for tomorrow's Upton Park derby with Fulham. Midfielder Valon Behrami is also available again. Midfielder Jack Collison is out with a knee injury, however, and striker Guillermo Franco is short of match fitness.
Clarets lose third crucial player until Christmas
The Clarets have lost yet another player for an extended period after Jay Rodriguez was ruled out for three months with a fractured ankle ahead of the match against Birmingham today. Striker Rodriguez becomes the third of Owen Coyle's players to be ruled out until Christmas in the last fortnight, with Martin Paterson and Chris McCann also picking up knee injuries. Fernando Guerro tweaked his hamstring and Kevin McDonald sustained a knee problem in a midweek reserve game, leaving both looking doubtful.
Baggies' joy after bagging Miller on five-year deal
Ishmael Miller has signed a new five-year contract at the club. The 22-year-old striker is out of action with a long-term knee injury but could return before the end of the campaign.The club's manager, Roberto di Matteo, is delighted Miller has committed his future to the club, saying: "This is a massive boost. Ishmael has got all the attributes required to be a top striker. He's still going to be out for a while, but we're looking forward to having him back as soon as possible. He will be a big help to us when he does return."
