Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It was a been a season of despair for David Moyes at Manchester United, with the manager facing the sack after a campaign full of painful records.
United's woeful 2-0 defeat on Moyes' return to Everton on Sunday produced another unwanted statistic - it was the first time since 1969/70 that the Toffees did the league double over United.
It was the latest in a long line of records that beleaguered Moyes, in his first season at Old Trafford as the great Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement, has unfortunately broken this season.
Click on the gallery below for all of the damning United statistics under Moyes this season...
The champions have 57 points from 34 league matches this season, a massive 27 points fewer than they had at this stage last season (84).
The 57 points at this stage is also their lowest total at stage in a league season since 1990/91, when they had 56 points in the old Division One, they finished that season in sixth place.
And what next for Moyes...United (999) are only one loss away from their 1,000th top-flight league defeat.
There is not even the FA Cup left to provide a ray of light for Moyes' season - his side have already been knocked out of the competition in the third round for only the second time in 30 years, by Swansea City in January.
