Carling Cup winners Birmingham City have been charged by the Football Association with failing to keep supporters off the pitch following their quarter-final victory over Aston Villa in December.
More than 1,000 Birmingham supporters invaded the pitch after their side's 2-1 win at St Andrew's and confronted the Villa fans at the other end of the stadium. The FA described the incidents as "serious crowd disturbances" and have given Birmingham until next Friday to respond.
