At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Your support makes all the difference.Nicklas Bendtner saved Arsenal’s fans from the ignominy of a goalless draw against manager-less Cardiff City with his 88th minute strike, with Theo Walcott doubling the lead for a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.
However, not all of the Gunners fans were praising the Danish striker, with one supporter so confident that he wouldn’t score that he promised his Twitter follows to cover himself in jam should Bendtner score the winner.
Well, the 26-year-old went and did just that.
And true to his word, James Stokes (@_ArmchairGooner) soon posted a picture from a shop where he purchased a jar of strawberry jam, before covering himself and posting the picture to his 4,000+ followers.
The picture was quickly noticed across the footballing world, before outspoken Arsenal fan and talk show host Piers Morgan even tweeted it. Bendtner himself is yet to respond to the picture, although we’re not sure he’ll be very complimentary if fans are willing to so freely promise to cover themselves in sandwich feelings each time he scores.
