Arne Slot reveals Liverpool injury boost with three players set to return for Merseyside derby
The Reds face local rivals Everton looking to bounce back from Carabao Cup heartbreak at the hands of Newcastle
Arne Slot could regain three Liverpool players for the Merseyside derby against Everton with Ryan Gravenberch, Alisson Becker and Conor Bradley all in contention.
The Reds, aiming to bounce back from defeat in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, can strengthen their title charge with victory over the Toffees.
And Slot is optimistic the group could be strengthened after positive news on a trio of comebacks, with the Brazilian goalkeeper suffering a clash of heads during international duty.
“Ryan is okay, although we have to train one more time,” Slot said. “Ali trained as well. Last check has to be made after the session today.
“Conor is training with us again but we have to make a decision if he is playing. He's only had a few sessions.”
Liverpool failed to win the first piece of silverware in the Slot era at Wembley Stadium before the international break, going down 2-1, but Slot believes the international break could be convenient for the group.
“It was maybe a good moment after you lose two games,” Slot added. “You go to your international team and things are new again. Maybe that helped as well. It is also nice when players go to a different environment.

“Diaz had two goals, Gakpo had a goal, our players showed themselves in a good way.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold will not return from an ankle injury though, amid speculation he will join Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer, as the right-back continues his rehabilitation.
“His situation is unfortunately that he is injured,” Slot says. “For him, that means he is fully focused on his recovery. We're trying to help him to come back. We've never been focussed on those talks.”
