Arsenal begin their season with an away match against Newcastle United today.

However, Unai Emery will be forced into shuffling his pack because of a number of different reasons.

Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac are both absent because of security concerns. Forward Alexandre Lacazette has an ankle injury and will be assessed ahead of the match, while there will also be late tests for Mohamed Elneny and club-record signing Nicolas Pepe.

Defenders Kieran Tierney, Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Dinos Mavropanos are all out injured.

New Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is expected to start his club-record signing Joelinton, but fellow summer arrival Andy Carroll is not yet available.
